Regional Reference for Developing/Reviewing Internal/External NEPA Documents
NOTE: Internet Links with an asterisk (*) behind them will take you
to a website not owned by the US government.
Purpose: This tool will provide information and contacts for identifying potential affected environmental resources related to a specific proposed Federal action. This tool will assist NOAA staff with collecting information necessary for scoping and developing NEPA documents as well as reviewing other agency NEPA documents.
Intended Audience: All NOAA environmental staff that are responsible for NEPA compliance and coordination may find this tool helpful in their work.
Southeast Region covers the following states: North Carolina (NC), South Carolina (SC), Georgia (GA), Florida (FL), Alabama (AL), Mississippi (MS), Louisiana (LA), Texas (TX), Puerto Rico (PR), and the US Virgin Islands (VI)

- E.O. 12962: Recreational Fisheries - an order given by President Clinton in 1995 to conserve, restore, and enhance aquatic systems in order to provide for increased recreational fishing opportunities nationwide
- E.O. 12866: Regulatory Planning and Review - to “enhance planning and coordination with respect to both new and existing regulations; to reaffirm the primacy of Federal agencies in the decision-making process; to restore the integrity and legitimacy of regulatory review and oversight; and to make the process more accessible and open to the public.”
