Regional Reference for Developing/Reviewing Internal/External NEPA Documents

NOTE: Internet Links with an asterisk (*) behind them will take you to a website not owned by the US government.

Purpose: This tool will provide information and contacts for identifying potential affected environmental resources related to a specific proposed Federal action. This tool will assist NOAA staff with collecting information necessary for scoping and developing NEPA documents as well as reviewing other agency NEPA documents.

Intended Audience: All NOAA environmental staff that are responsible for NEPA compliance and coordination may find this tool helpful in their work.

Northwest Region covers the states of Washington (WA) and Oregon (OR)

If the proposed NEPA action includes dredging or wetlands and/or requires a Section 404 permit, the Department of the Army Corps of Engineers may need to be contacted.

If the proposed NEPA action occurs within the coastal zone, the Coastal Zone Management Office of the affected state(s) may need to be contacted.

 

If the proposed NEPA action affects historic resources or occurs within historic lands, the State Historic Preservation Office of the affected state(s) may need to be contacted.
